We're excited to announce that this Friday we'll be in Albany, NY at the Bayou Cafe. We always have a good time playing with our friends in Formula 5 and we're excited to play with Haewa, a band we've heard lots of good things about! Spring is in the air and a jam is in order!
Burning Down the House
Howdy all, this weekend was quite a doozy! We rolled back to Brattleboro at 7:00 Am on Sunday morning after a wild weekend in Upstate NY.
Our weekend started off in Saratoga Springs, NY at the famed Putnam Den. We kicked off the night at 10PM with a crowd of 300+ people boogying with us. We were all on point that night and the music was really clicking. Nights like that are why we play music.
Our good friends Eastbound Jesus headlined the night and tore the roof down. Their high energy americana had everyone in the Den stomping their feet and getting rowdy. Cheers fellas.
The following evening we were in Plattsburgh, NY getting down at the Monopole. We love the people of Plattsburgh and they came out and raged. The energy was through the roof. We'll be back in Plattsburgh on March 15th.
This Friday we have a hometown show at the Inferno in Brattleboro. It's been a minute since we've raged the Inferno but room is gonna be sizzlin'! Joining from Asbury Park, NJ are our friends Karmic Juggernaut. These guys are a sick. They've shared the stage with Moe., Umphrey's and more! They start close to 9:00 so don't be late! You don't wanna miss it!
An Upstate of Mind (2/15-16)

Damn. 2013 has been here less then two full months and we're already busy. The summer has been filling up with festivals that we are extremely excited to be playing. We'll be releasing an up-to-date list of them next week. Stay tuned!
But on to the now. This weekend we have two more shows in Upstate NY, a place that has been very good to us lately. The land is beautiful and the people amazing. Cheers, Upstaters.
Tonight (Friday) we're making our way over to Saratoga Springs, NY for a show at the legendary Putnam Den. It's our first time coming to Saratoga but helping feel welcome are our friends Eastbound Jesus, a high-octane bluegrass band from the area. We always have a good time playing with these fellas and we see no reason why tonight will be any different.
Tomorrow (Saturday) we return to Plattsburgh, NY which is across the Lake from Burlington, VT. Last time we were at the Monopole there was a great reception and the room was moving all night! We know Plattsburgh likes to party and we're looking forward to this show. We hit from 10-2.
Thanks and have a great weekend!
Brewing in New York and Magic Kung Fu

Holy Moly have we got a weekend for you! 2013 has already been quite the year and it shows no signs of slowing down!

Friday we're back in VT at the ski town of Ludlow (Okemo's hometown). Ski towns are always a raging good time and we know Franks Tavern won't be any different. Catch us from 9:30 - 1:00!
Saturday we have another big show, sharing the stage with heralded funk-warriors Kung Fu! We've had the honor of sharing the stage with these fellas a few times and holy s**t is all we can say. These guys bring the heat! Come to Magic Mountain on Feb 2nd for another classic Barnaby's Presents event. We can't wait to rage Londonderry, VT!

Rocky Salt Top Tavern Pub

Another exciting week in the world of Flabberghaster! Last weekend we had the honour of playing with funk legend Bernie Worrell. Bernie was in Parliment Funkadelic as well as being a touring membering of the Talking Heads, and playing with countless other legends. We had the opportunity to hang out with Bernie in the green room and he was in incredibly humble man. For all he's been through and seen he still has his head on his shoulders.
This weekend we've got two shows, the first at the Rocky Top in our hometown of Brattleboro, VT. Joining us all the way from Upstate NY will be Eastbound Jesus, a high-energy bluegrass/ americana/ rock band who are sure to get your feet stomping! As always at the Rocky Top, there'll be no cover, which means no excuses!
On Saturday we travel to Lebanon, NH for a show at the Salt Hill Pub. It's our first time in Lebanon and we look forward to meeting new people!
We're always adding new dates to our tour schedule! Don't forget to check out whats happening in the future for Flabberghaster! We've got some big shows coming up!

We'd like to thank Atlatl, The Van Burens, The Epidemiks, Grip Lighting & Effects, and everyone who came out to Maple Valley for helping us ring in the new year. 2012 was a wild ride with many peaks and valleys. We went through a lot as a group and as individuals but in the end we have become a tighter unit as we continue to grow. 2013 is looking to be a great year and we're excited about what it has in store. Capitol City
What a month December has been! Last weekend we trekked all the way to Jamestown, NY, the furthest we've ever travelled for a gig. While in the hotel room we google mapped it and Cleveland, OH was only 2 hours away! This is far from home for some small town VT boys. We've been blessed to keep expanding and getting out the word of Flab. Once again, thank you to anyone who have ever helped us in any way, we wouldn't be here without you!
Last night (Dec. 19) we were in Boston at the Wonder Bar. I think across the board this was collectively our favorite Boston show yet. There was a large enthusiastic crowd, and before we played we had delicious food, including steak tips cooked to perfection. We'd like to thank Jake from Wobblesauce for putting the night together and being a great host!
This weekend we're heading back to Concord, NH for a performance at Penuche's. It's been a little while since we've had a chance to rock the 'Nuche, but since we're counting on the world still existing on the 22nd, we'll be rocking out extra hard Saturday night. Concord is a great city full of wonderful people and we're really glad to be coming back!
Don't forget, we've got FREE live & Studio downloads on our reverb nation page, so if that interests you, go to www.reverbnation.com/Flabberghaster and check it out!
Peace everyone!
Weekend Updates and Forthcoming Shows 12/7-9
We've got four performances coming up this weekend spanning Vermont and Massachusetts. Three of them are benefits and they couldn't be for better causes! On Friday we'll be travelling to Mill St. Brews in Southbridge, MA for a Toys for Tots Benefit. We'll be sharing the stage with kickass bands like 8 Feet Tall, Danny Pease & The Regulators, WHAT, and more! On Saturday we make our way to Vernon, VT (hometown of our beloved manager, Scotty Ball) for a show at Nesbitts Portside Tavern. The last time we played here was Halloween 2010 and boy did it get nutty! Come to Nesbitts and let's rock out, all night long! Moving on to Sunday we'll be playing a benefit for a young lady recently diagnosed with leukemia. It all goes down at the VFW in Brattleboro, VT, including a Jeep up for auction! Later that night we'll be heading down I-91 to Snowzees Music Shack in Sunderland, MA getting down with a slew of other great bands (The Diamondstones, Outer Stylie, Tangerine Funk Sauce, etc) to help Snowzees get their liquor liscense renewed. Pizza Stone (December 1st)

Tonight we're back at our favorite pizza joint, the Pizza Stone in Chester, VT. It's been a minute since we've played up in Chester and we're excited to get down with the great people of the Pizza Stone. Our favorite menu option are the wings, you gotta try em!

Coming Home!
This Saturday we're coming home! We haven't played in town since August, but Marcel was hurt then. This will be our first Brattleboro show as a full band since April! We are soooooo excited! For starters...MARCEL IS BACK. We'll also be unveiling new original Flabberghaster songs as well! We've been working hard on crafting these songs, so definitely don't miss out!
Opening the show will be Danny Pease & The Regulators, a talented and very fun ska/reggae/punk/funk band from Western Mass. As always at the Rocky Top, there'll be no cover, which means no excuse!

Marcel is back! He joined us last Saturday at the Pearl Street Ballroom in Northampton, MA for a Halloween show of the ages! We've had a great couple of weeks here at Flabberghaster. This past weekend we were in Saranac Lake for the first time, and visited old friends in Asbury Park, NJ. However, this week we have one of the largest shows we've ever played going down on Saturday in Northampton. We rerturn to the Pearl St. Ballroom for a HUGE show with musical masters Kung Fu, reggae legends The Achemystics, and gypsy funk-punkers Who'da Funk It?! Have a great week and good luck finding the perfect costume. We'll see you on Saturday!
Autumn in the Air

Fall is here. There is a chill in the air, woodstoves are being fired up, and the leaves are falling all around. It's a very beautiful time of year here in Southern VT, and we are very lucky to be experiencing it. We have also been blessed with some very fun gigs in new places. We recently performed in Plattsburgh, NY and Providence, RI to two very enthusiastic and energized crowds. It means a lot going on the road and sharing these experiences with people from different towns.
This weekend (12-13th) we have two shows coming up that we are extremely excited about. Tonight we are headed to Worcester, MA, playing at one of our favorite venues, the Lucky Dog Music Hall. We have the distinct honour of opening for Danny Pease and the Regulators, a kick ass band from Western Mass. Tomorrow night we have an equally excellent show with our good friends SEED. The show takes place at The Music Lady in their hometown of Plainfield, CT. When the week is done we'll have played in 3 of the 6 New England states!
To round up October, we have even more high profile shows!

Waxy Baby

Another solid weekend here for Flabberghaster. We hit new turf, played with old friends, and had a blast everywhere we went. We kicked off the weekend early, playing Thursday at Landmark College in Putney, VT. We got to play on the quad in front of a dank smelling BBQ as the evening sun set. Outdoor shows are truely a blessing. Thursday we strapped up our boots and rode to Albany, NY for the first time. We had the honour of sharing the stage with East Bound Jesus, a high-energy bluegrass band. We had a wonderful experience, and we'd like to thank Greg Bell for putting the show together. We wrapped up our weekend in Sunderland, MA at Snowzee's Music Shack. This show we shared with Outer Stylie, a heavy psychedelic band local to the Northampton area. They're really on to something so if you've never listened to them, CHECK THEM OUT!
This weekend we're in Keene at Waxy O'Connor's. Join us Saturday as we bring our funky rock n' roll to a suberb Irish bar. You won't regret it!
Hitting The Spot
It's never too early to make plans. Mark your calender for Wednesday October 10th, because Flabberghaster is coming to The Spot Underground in Providence, RI. Tell your friends, teachers, newspaper delivery boy, rabbi, and whomever else. We're going to party it up in true hump-day style.
9/17 Monday Update
This past weekend was a big one for us. We went our furthest from home and played infront of a bunch of new audiences. We started our journey Friday night in Utica opening for our friends Twiddle. It was our first show back after taking nearly a month off and it felt good to get the lead out and rock out. We had fun playing and Twiddle was on fire as usual. After Utica we hit the road en route to Sterling, NY, a town on Lake Ontario. We rolled into the festival at 4:00 AM and people were still up raging. After unloading our gear onto the stage we unrolled our sleeping bag and caught some beauty rest. We were woken up at 10:30 by Creedence Clearwater blasting over the speakers. The sky was a wonderful blue and the sun was shining; certainly a good omen. The people of Sterling were very kind and we had a very positive experience. After our set we loaded up the van and hauled to Walkes-Barre, PA. The drive was breath taking. We had blue skies and rolling green mountains all the way there. It was kind of like VT. We had a fantastic experience in Pennslyvania. The club we played at had Alan Evans Trio in a few weeks, and there were posters of legends all over the green room. Weekends like this remind us why we play music in the first place. We are truely blessed to meet new people all over the country, see beautiful landscapes, and have fun while doing it. Thanks to all who make it possible!
Road Trip!
This weekend we have our largest road- trip yet, as we travel through NY State all the way to Lake Ontario, down to Pennsylvania, and back to Vermont. We'll be covering 738 miles in two days, check out the map!
One More Saturday Night
We're nearing the end of our break here in Flabberworld. Incase you weren't aware, we've taken the past two weeks off from playing shows and rehearsing so that we can catch our breath and come back this fall in full force. It's been nice to spend time with friends and take part in activities we don't normally get to take part in due to being on the road every weekend. It's really been nice and refreshing!
Yesterday we had a fantastic photoshoot with the wonderful and talented photographer Kandi Davis. We had a lot of fun and shot in some really special and unique locations. We can't wait to show you the final products!
After the shoot we ordered a few pizzas, grabbed a case of Long Trail Ale and had a pizza party at our jamspot. Marcel was with us and it was great to spend time with him. He even had some marvelous jams with Tucker. It looks like his recovery has been going quite well and we're more then excited to have him back with us. SOON! Be on the lookout for the full Flab 5 and new tunes in the near future!
FALL TOUR (and other tid-bits)
In mid-July our beloved friend and drummer, Marcel Leclaire injured himself in a freak longboarding accident. He has been on the path to recovery and is healing at a remarkable rate. In his abscense our multi-talented percussionist Jimmy Caltrider has taken the thrown and is holding it down! However, when Marcel first got injured we cancelled a bunch of gigs, unknowing when we would be able to resume shows. We've started booking the fall and more dates are falling into place everyday. Here's what we have so far:
SEPTEMBER
14- Piers and Blake (Utica, NY) Opening for Twiddle
15- Sterling Stages (Sterling, NY) Playing at Noon

The Hippo

We hope you enjoy the article!
Riding the Iron Horse

This Friday marks our third apperance at the famed Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA. Other artists who have played this stage include John Mayer, Toots and The Maytals, and Tracy Chapman. As always, we are extremely excited and honored to be at the Iron Horse.
This upcoming show is going to be a special one. Opening up the party are our friends Who'da Funk it?, an all girl 4 piece from Amherst. These talented ladies are sure to wow you and get you up and dancing. After their set, we've got some special tunes for ya'll including new covers and suprise guests.
This is promising to be a fantastic night of music and good times, all for only $10 ($8 if you find one of us before the performance!).
A New Chapter.
Well, Flabbed and Confused is behind us. The whole experience led us to grow exponentially as a group, and as individuals. We'd like to thank Cider Mag for the idea, tireless work, support, and continued faith in the local music scene, Grip Lighting for being spot on with every aspect of the technical and visual side of this production, Jared Johnson for being the best sound guy we've ever worked with, and everyone who came and made this night so special. Thank you all.
However, now that this project is out of the way, we can start working on new original Flab tunes for the first time since April. WOOO! We've picked up much from learning 20+ covers, and lots of ideas have been formed. Now the writing begins. As a musician, or any artist, creation is the greatest feeling. We have some riffs and songs in mind, but a lot of excitement towards new material comes from what we haven't even fathomed yet. The great unknown is a beautiful thing. Keep your ears open for new Flab tunes in the near future!
This weekend we have some pretty mega shows lined up. They are...
Penuche's in Concord, NH with Karmic Juggernaut (from Jersey). We go on after the Concord Market Days, an all day music celebration.
High Noon Saloon in Norwich, CT w/ The Jauntee and Banzai All-Stars. Can't wait to be back in CT after a year not playing there!
Pizza Stone in Chester, VT w/ Leaders Led (Boston, MA). The Pizza Stone is always a raging good time filled with positive vibes and the best pizza around!
Raw King Hill

YES, FINALLY, ROCKINGHILL IS ALMOST HERE!
Ever since we played our first show at the farm last year, we've looked forward to every chance we've had to be back, and this years festivities are proving to be the best to date! For only $40 you get to watch us, The Brew, Kung Fu, Orange Television, Barefoot Truth, Ryan Montbleau, Z3, Outer Stylie, and MORE!
On the real though, this festival is going to be amazing. We feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to play alongside musicians of this caliber, and also to have the chance to be back on the farm! As we're all residents of Southern VT, this is like going to church for us. A weekend to behold! For more info go to WWW.BarnabysPresents.com
Weekend Updates and Forthcoming Shows
Wow. What a weekend. Last Thursday we hit up Chico's House of Jazz in Asbury Park, NJ for the first time. We'd been to Asbury before, but this was the most special of all our visists. Turns out, Chico is a real dude, and his house of Jazz is no joke. The walls were lined with pictures and signatures of all the great jazz heavies, and the house drum kit was signed by Bernard Purtie. WOW!
After NJ we heading north to Burlington, VT and played outside on Church Street at Red Square. Outside shows are always blast and Burlington was everything we hoped it would be. From there we scooted over to Sunderland, MA to the famed Snowzees Music Shack to play with our friends Mr. Breakdown. These fellas are from Nyack, NY and are definitely a band to watch out for!
Wrapping up our weekend we played another outdoors show in Salem, MA with our brothers Leaders Led. What a beautiful day it was!
THIS WEEK we're at Penuche's Ale House in Concord, NH with The EDD, a band we've played with before out of Burlington, VT. Hope to see you there!
The Buck Train Rolls On...

This weeks a big one in Flabberland! We have the privilege of travelling down to one of New Jersey's premier ocean towns, Asbury Park for a show at Chico's House of Jazz, located right on the beach. This is our first time going down to Asbury in the summer and word is it's bumpin! Quite looking forward to it! After Asbury we travel to another town on this beach, but this time it's in northern Vermont. A beach in Vermont you say? YES! We're playing at Red Square in Burlington, VT, right on Lake Champlain. We have the honor of sharing the stage with Little War Twins, a kickass band from Boston. We round up our journey in Sunderland, MA at Snowzees Music Shack, rocking out with Mr. Breakdown, a sick funk band from Nyack, NY. Snowzees is always a good time, as it is capitol of Buck Nation. And who knows, you might run into the Mayor of Buckville himself, Tom Shack. We hope everyone's weekend and week has been good, we'll be seeing you soon!
Friends Helping Friends Who Help Strangers
We're really looking forward to this weekend! We've been blabbing about Uphoria (the festival in Millerton, NY with Dopapod, Leaders Led, The Edd, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, etc) for some time, but we'd like to inform you of another special event happening this weekend. Our good friend Don Pearson, the man behind Strangers Helping Strangers, a non-profit food drive organization, has had some medical problems in the last month. He needs everyone's help to pay the bills that racked up while in the hospital. A benefit show has been played for this Saturday in Worcester, MA at the Lucky Dog Music Hall. We'll be playing alongside our friends Doctor Doom Orchestra, The Alchemystics, and a few other really talented and fun bands. The proceeds of this show will be going to Don. Please come help this man who has helped countless others.
Cinco De Mayo Super Moon

May is finally here! Leaves on the trees and the birds singing their sweet song! There's really something special about spring in Southern Vermont. This passed weekend we played at the Dover Brickhouse in Dover, NH with SEED, and MiZ and had a blast. Those two bands are on to something heavy duty. Check 'em out if you haven't yet!
This coming week is a busy one. Today we were interviewed by the Keene based radio station KROCK 101.9, and the audio will be played on Thursday in anticipation of our Keene show at Waxy O'Conner's. Check out the poster above for more info!
Tuesday we've got a photo shoot scheduled at an old closed down prison in New Hampshire. Can't wait to see how it looks!
Thursday we've got the Waxy's show, followed by PK's in Bellows Falls, VT. Josh Hearne of Barnaby's Presents will be there as well! To cap off this busy week we'll be performing our first wedding!
It's time to get to the jammin' but we'll see you soon!
SPRING IS HERE!
Warm weather is finally arriving here in Northern New England, and we couldn't be more excited! Last night we opened for the legendary BadFish at Pearl St. in Northampton in front of a very large and very enthusiastic crowd. Thank you to everyone who came, and to all the new members of the Flabberfamily. Welcome!
This coming weekend we have much to be excited about, as we are playing in Boston on Friday for a 20th of April celebration at the Magic Room. Also playing are our good friends Leaders Led, as well as Big 'Ol Dirty Bucket and more. We've heard that the Magic Room is indeed magic. The next day we'll be in Keene, NH at Keene State College taking part in the Solar Fest. This is a free show, and we'll be playing alongside HOT DAY AT THE ZOO and DOPAPOD! These are two bands we've seen and enjoyed many times and are honored to be a part of such a wonderful celebration. To make things better.... it's FREE!
