Friends Helping Friends Who Help Strangers

We're really looking forward to this weekend! We've been blabbing about Uphoria (the festival in Millerton, NY with Dopapod, Leaders Led, The Edd, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, etc) for some time, but we'd like to inform you of another special event happening this weekend. Our good friend Don Pearson, the man behind Strangers Helping Strangers, a non-profit food drive organization, has had some medical problems in the last month. He needs everyone's help to pay the bills that racked up while in the hospital. A benefit show has been played for this Saturday in Worcester, MA at the Lucky Dog Music Hall. We'll be playing alongside our friends Doctor Doom Orchestra, The Alchemystics, and a few other really talented and fun bands. The proceeds of this show will be going to Don. Please come help this man who has helped countless others.

Cinco De Mayo Super Moon

May is finally here! Leaves on the trees and the birds singing their sweet song! There's really something special about spring in Southern Vermont. This passed weekend we played at the Dover Brickhouse in Dover, NH with SEED, and MiZ and had a blast. Those two bands are on to something heavy duty. Check 'em out if you haven't yet!

This coming week is a busy one. Today we were interviewed by the Keene based radio station KROCK 101.9, and the audio will be played on Thursday in anticipation of our Keene show at Waxy O'Conner's. Check out the poster above for more info!
Tuesday we've got a photo shoot scheduled at an old closed down prison in New Hampshire. Can't wait to see how it looks!
Thursday we've got the Waxy's show, followed by PK's in Bellows Falls, VT. Josh Hearne of Barnaby's Presents will be there as well! To cap off this busy week we'll be performing our first wedding!
It's time to get to the jammin' but we'll see you soon!

UPHORIA

We're really excited  that May 17th is coming up right around the corner and we're and here's why. Uphoria, a music festival taking place in Eastern Upstate NY thrown by none other then Crutopia. We're sharing the stage with acts like Dopapod, The Indobox, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, our friends Leaders Led, and many other talented bands. Here are a couple cool articles that have been written about the fest, check em out!

Grand Master Chambers

6:00 AM and we're all back in Southern VT in one piece. We left yesterday morning at 10 and spent the day in Boston. First we had an acoustic performance at Great Scott's that was broadcast on UnRegular. To honor Levon Helm, a man who we all saw perform and have been greatly touched by, we played the Weight among other songs. Playing acoustic sets are always fun and they keep us on our toes!
After the set we went downtown and met up with our friends in the Boston based band Leaders Led. The sun was blessing us with its golden rays so we all played hacky sack in the common and loosened up before our next show, the Magic Room. Incredibly intimate and cozy. Wow. The music was phenomenal as well. We got to see Big 'Ol Dirty Bucket for the first time and they were TIGHT. We definitely recomend checking them out. Leaders Led performed after them and absolutely tore the roof off the mutha. Time for some sleep and then we're at it again in Keene, NH as part of the Solar Fest, alongside Hot Day at the Zoo and Dopapod. SWEET!

SPRING IS HERE!

Warm weather is finally arriving here in Northern New England, and we couldn't be more excited! Last night we opened for the legendary BadFish at Pearl St. in Northampton in front of a very large and very enthusiastic crowd. Thank you to everyone who came, and to all the new members of the Flabberfamily. Welcome!

This coming weekend we have much to be excited about, as we are playing in Boston on Friday for a 20th of April celebration at the Magic Room. Also playing are our good friends Leaders Led, as well as Big 'Ol Dirty Bucket and more. We've heard that the Magic Room is indeed magic. The next day we'll be in Keene, NH at Keene State College taking part in the Solar Fest. This is a free show, and we'll be playing alongside HOT DAY AT THE ZOO and DOPAPOD! These are two bands we've seen and enjoyed many times and are honored to be a part of such a wonderful celebration. To make things better.... it's FREE!

Granite Get-down!
